At Dow Health Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Massage we offer gentle, affordable, safe, nurturing alternative medicine treatments. Our list of treatments include:

Chiropractic. Dr. Dow graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in November 1993. He practices mainly Diversifed technique but also has training in Gonstead, Chiropractic Biophysics, Applied Spinal Biomechanical Engineering, Drop table, and Flexion distraction. He believes it is important to get the adjustment and reduce the fixation to restore function to the spine but it is important to do it with the least amount of force so as not to strain the muscles of the back or stretch the supporting ligaments.

Acupuncture. Dr. Dow graduated from the Midwest College for the study of Oriental Medicine in 1996. He practices a combination of Chinese and Japanese styles of Acupuncture.

He believes it is important for the patient to feel the sensation of the energy that comes after the needle insertion but it is also very important that the patient feel very relaxed and comfortable and not be in any pain from the needles. The needles we use are Japanese Serin needles which are the highest quality and the least painful of all the presterilized disposable needles.

Massage. Dr. Dow has one year of training in both Chinese Tui Na massage and Japanese Shiatsu massage. He is also trained in neuromuscular therapy technique, some Craniosacral technique, Gua Sha and Cupping.

I’m Abby Thornton, RMT, state registered and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork and a Reiki master teacher. Kathleen Roush-Leverington has been an intuitive since she was 6 years old. Her interest in natural healing began at the age of 12. She has studied with Native American Indians, alternative medicine doctors, and many healers, including Master Herbalist and Naturopath Hanna Kroeger. She has extensive training in many healing modalities including BioGenesis, Biofeedback, essential oils, herbs, nutrition, and intuitive healing. Kathleen has received extensive training with the QXCI-SCIO Biofeedback machine and is a Certified Biofeedback Technician. With over 9,000 programs to analyze the cause of a problem, the QXCI-SCIO program looks at what is stressing the body and makes corrections to encourage the body to adjust its frequency.

In working with clients, Kathleen’s main focus is getting to the root cause of the illness and working from that level. Kathleen uses the term “Quantum Healing” to describe her work. She works with clients on many levels to help them improve their health and well being.

Rebecca Bald is certified in Muscle Response Testing. In the past year she has been servicing clients with the EB 305 Balancer. The “footbath” as it is commonly called, is a wonderful way of detoxifying the body through the feet. The footbath was designed and developed to restore the body’s energy and balance, while facilitating and aiding in its detoxification process.

“How does it work?” The EB 305 uses direct current to create an ionic energy fluid in the footbath similar to the energy produced by the human body. The client generally will not feel the treatment. The EB 305 produces energy by altering the electron and proton load in the water to create an electromagnetic altered water environment. The client places their feet into the water to receive the flow of appropriate ions. The energy flow of the EB 305 increases the body’s “Life Energy”.
